Colitu VPN extension for Chrome and Firefox

Protect your browser without installing an app: connect in one click and pick servers in more than 10 countries. Only browser traffic goes through Colitu, and WebRTC leaks are blocked. Works with the same Colitu account, free plan included.

The store listings are in review. The Firefox version will be published once Mozilla approves it. You can already install the Chrome version from the package on GitHub: unpack it into a folder, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode and choose that folder with Load unpacked.

Installation

  1. Open your browser's store page below and click Add. Edge, Brave, Opera and Yandex Browser use the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Pin Colitu from the puzzle icon in the toolbar.
  3. Click the Colitu icon and sign in with “Sign in with colitu.com” or with your e-mail and password.
  4. Click the big button. The fastest server is picked for you and the icon shows the server's country code.

Browser only

Other programs are not affected. Use the Colitu app to protect the whole device.

WebRTC protection

While connected, WebRTC may only use the protected path, so video-call sites cannot see your real IP address.

Site lists

Keep some sites outside the VPN, or send only the sites you choose through Colitu.

No leaks when a server fails

If the server cannot be reached, pages do not open directly; with Fastest server selected the extension moves to the next server.

Frequently asked questions

Does the extension protect my whole device?

No, only browser traffic. For games, messengers and other programs use the Windows, Android, Linux or iOS app.

Is it free?

Yes, 10 GB of free traffic every month is included; Premium has no limit. The extension counts as one device on your account and is removed from your device list when you sign out.

Which connection method does it use?

Browsers can only use HTTPS proxies, so the extension connects to a TLS-encrypted HTTPS proxy on our servers. The Stealth and Resilient methods that get around blocking are only in the apps; on heavily restricted networks use the app.

Why do Russian sites open outside the VPN?

As in the apps, .ru, .su and .рф sites open directly by default; the rule does not apply while you are connected to a server in Russia. You can turn it off in settings.
