About Russia
The Moscow server gives you a Russian IP address, with the route ending inside the country. It is the server to use when you are abroad and need Russian services: banks, Gosuslugi, Russian TV and streaming, and marketplaces that refuse foreign addresses. While you are connected to Moscow, Russian sites go through the tunnel and see a Moscow address, in the Windows and Android apps from version 2.5.3 and in the Linux beta. On other servers, the Windows and Android apps still send Russian sites directly. Live status, load and ✓ service checks are on this page.
- Russian banks and Gosuslugi from abroad, with a Russian address
- Russian TV and streaming services outside Russia
- Marketplaces and other Russian sites that refuse foreign addresses
- Encryption on public Wi-Fi without your traffic leaving Russia
