Frequently asked questions
What is an IP address?
Every device on the internet has an address. The sites you visit see it and can roughly tell your country and internet provider from it.
How do I know my VPN works?
Open this page with the VPN off and note the address, then turn the VPN on and check again. If the address and country changed, your traffic goes through the VPN. If you are connected to Colitu, the page says so too.
Does this page store my address?
No. Your address is read only to show it to you; it is not stored or linked to your account.
My IPv6 address shows. Is that a problem?
No. Some networks use IPv6. If your real IPv6 address shows while the VPN is on, make sure the VPN covers all traffic; on Windows, turn on TUN mode.
